I think a lot of people approach blowing glass as a set of steps or a formula to be followed. I think that it’s more similar to language. There are rules to be followed, except when you don’t, and there are tricks and pitfalls all over the place. Getting past that formulaic approach to glass is where real fluency starts to occur.
